The Hallmark for 18 carat gold is 750 

The hallmark on 18 carat gold is to signify that the item contains at least 75% fine gold.
 The U.K assay offices will stamp a 750 hallmark on any item with 75% fine Gold whist abroad  it is common practice to just put "18k" or "18ct".
 Please beware there are many items being sold on the black market with "18k" or "18ct" which  are not gold. These jewellery Items are normally made from brass alloys.

       Because 18ct gold has a higher percentage of fine gold it is worth more than 9ct and 14ct.
