As a metal platinum is 35 times rarer than gold, platium carries its own unique hallmark and has only been used in jewellery since the end of the 19th century.

There are several different grades of platinum, the most common in jewellery production is 950 (95% pure) which we have the price for listed above. Please note that SGb Gold can buy all types off Platinum.

Platinum is silver in colour and a very valuable metal (35% rarer than gold). Due to its silver colour, platinum is often mistaken for silver, so you may actually own some without realising.

If your platinum has no hallmark we will need to test it first.
